Parenting Workshop

The PTA is sponsoring a PEP parent workshop on March 3 from 7-8pm. If you are tired of hearing the words ‘I can’t’ or are looking for ways to empower your children with a positive ‘can-do’ attitude, come join us and learn strategies to increase your child’s sense of feeling connected, capable, competent and courageous.

BE Skate Night

On March 7th, Bethesda Elementary school will host Skate Night at the Cabin John Ice Rink.  BE students, friends and families will have an ice rink reserved just for our school.  This is a fun family fundraiser that benefits BE.  Please note that children should be accompanied by an adult. Tickets must be purchased in advance.

Bids & Bubbly

Tickets are now on sale for Bids and Bubbly! Be the first to sponsor your teacher or favorite administrator! The class with the most attendees by the end of February wins a pizza party!

What is the Bethesda Elementary Silent auction?

This is the biggest Bethesda Community Party of the year! We have amazing items, including teacher experiences, hotel and restaurants, amazing sports tickets and other once in a lifetime experiences for you to bid on using your smart phone. Bidding at this year’s auction will be electronic and on your phone. No need to stalk tables anymore! Even if you do not want to bid, you can hang out with our community, dance with our incredible DJ from Washington Talent, eat lots of appetizers , desserts and drink as much beer and wine as you want-it’s all included with your ticket! This event is our school’s biggest fundraiser, allowing us to provide innovative STEM and cultural arts programs, among other things, for our kids!

Where is the event?

This year’s event will be held on Friday March 13th at the Bethesdan Hotel, 8120 Wisconsin Avenue, from 7 p.m. - 11:00 p.m.

How do I buy tickets?

Tickets are $65 each and include appetizers, desserts and all you can drink beer and wine. Tickets are available online. You do NOT need to be a parent to attend our event. Feel free to invite family or other friends even if they don’t go to Bethesda Elementary.

What should I wear?

The event is festive casual. Jeans and nice shirts are welcome.

How can I contribute?

Buy tickets and get your friends to come too! You can also sponsor a teacher or administrator to attend! Do you have access to sports tickets or items you could donate?  Do you know people in your community network you can ask to donate experiences?  Do you have a NEW gift you received for the holidays or a birthday that you really don’t like or need? Consider donating it to us. Please contact us for more information.

I can’t come to the event. How can I help?

Even if you can’t make it in person, you can still sponsor a teacher to attend, donate new items or special experiences for people to bid on.  We will also take any donation you want to make.

Multicultural Night

BE’s Multicultural Night will be March 19.  This is an evening where students and families celebrate the cultural diversity of our school community.  We are looking for parents to showcase their cultural backgrounds.  Please use this link to sign up.

STEM Night

Calling all scientists! Join us Thursday, April 2 from 6:30-8pm in the Bethesda Elementary Gym and APR for a fantastic night of STEM exploration.


Students are encouraged to participate in STEM night by completing investigations at home as individuals or with friends, siblings, parents, etc. Projects should investigate questions related to science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. Students will present their findings at STEM Night. For grade appropriate suggestions for projects and guidelines, click here. 

The PTA will be selling a limited quantity of science back boards on Fridays, beginning 2/21 from 8:40-8:55pm in the school lobby ($5 each, cash only). Boards can also be purchased from most office supply and craft stores.
